Superlearning time at Lockerbie Primary

In the week before the Scottish schools had to close, Lockerbie Primary had visitors from Turkey and Germany as part of one of their Erasmus+ projects (Energize You Up!).  Unfortunately, the day before they were due to come, the school from Moscow were told that they were not allowed to travel.
Rocky joined in some of the activities and particularly enjoyed the Superlearning Day, where all of the children learned more about how to learn better.  They used a multisensory approach to learn some Japanese as well as practising different ways of exercising their brains!  The children from all three countries worked very well together and produced Superlearning Leaflets to share their learning about learning.
Rocky joined Elma (the Energize You Up! mascot) at the Superlearning assembly.  Rocky was in charge of Karen's walkie talkie and wanted to be Head Teacher for the day)

Students from Ankara in Turkey designing Charles Rennie Mackintosh style artwork at Lockerbie Primary School. Rocky liked the art.

Rocky was playing in the frame that Tyler had made for his artwork

Rocky was quite interested in the bottle of water on the table - it is important to keep hydrated to help you learn better

Lockerbie pupils were explaining that Hula Hoops come in different flavours (other makes are available!) - the other pupils had not seen them before.

Hope you can open this video which shows the pupils learning how to count to 10 in Japanese using a multisensory approach.  Rocky thought it was a great way to learn,
